Connecting Wellywood to the World

FX Networks are pleased to announce that they have won the business to provide internet connectivity to the Weta and Wingnut group of companies.

Following on from the Miramar suburban Fibre Optic Network that was recently rolled out earlier in the year by Weta and Citylink, FX have connected the FX high performance internet backbone to the Weta and Wingnut Group of companies. After a competitive process, FX was selected by Weta Digital as their new service provider of connectivity to studios, customers and partners around the world.

Jamie Baddeley, General Manager, Sales at FX Networks says "We're absolutely delighted to have Weta and the Wingnut group of companies on board. It really is a great thing to be able to help connect NZ's film making talent with the rest of world. The Group is now on the fastest independent internet backbone in the country, we also look forward to connecting them with other companies in the sector around New Zealand at 1Gbps."

FX provides the Group with 1Gbps connectivity across it's high performance internet backbone to it's other customers and partners, and in excess of 100Mbps to the rest of the world. This is all on a flat rate, fixed price basis - giving the Group the certainty and stability that they need to get on with creating and producing more award winning digital magic.
