Pipeline is a high performance point to point Ethernet service. It’s the fastest intercity information pipeline commercially available in New Zealand. Think of it as your own private line you can use to transfer data and voice between business locations quickly, securely and cost-effectively.
Pipeline is governed by a single simple set of service levels. We treat your traffic the same all the time. We don't want to mess with your traffic, we just want to carry it – you get the size of pipe you pay for. No ifs, buts or maybes.

Pipeline is designed for customers who wish to connect their business together ‘behind the firewall’ to form the classic WAN architecture. Use it to put simplicity back into your networking or help create diversity. It also provides an alternative solution for internet companies who for whatever reason prefer not to take advantage of our advanced network services.
Technical information
Pipeline is a high-performance direct Private Ethernet Networking Service available up to 100Mbps, 1Gbps or 10Gbps. You can use it to construct a hub and spoke architecture to give you maximum control over how your traffic transverses our network. With Pipeline, there is no tiered and graded and sliced and diced Quality of Service complexity. Just straight high performance layer two Ethernet directly and privately between your business locations - we treat all of your traffic as top priority. More complex features such as 'Q in Q' (Transparent Ethernet) and Jumbo Frames are what we eat for breakfast. Customers are able to select how they want their pipeline services configured, whether it be untagged, transparent, or Dot 1Q capable.
Untagged Services are for very simple point to point applications - to simply connect two sites together with a network service that is equivalent to a 700km ethernet cable in terms of performance.
Dot 1Q services are typically used to connect multiple branch offices together to head office with a level of certainty.
Transparent Services are normally used to connect data centres together or for head office/branch office topologies that demand complex multisite end to end security domains that are 100% policy driven by the customer.
